The enormously successful MarediModa fair that is held in Cannes is now in its 15th year. It is the top event for the beachwear and innerwear fabrics and accessories, boasting the presence of international exhibitors and visitors whose numbers continue to grow year after year. As a result, it is a key event for sector professionals in terms of contacts, exchanges and business, old and new. To keep apace with sudden market changes, MarediModa|IntimodiModa Cannes continues to evolve. In 2007 it began to offer guests a space devoted to producers from the Euro-Med area an Italy: the Private Label - Outsourcing Show. The goal is to offer partnership opportunities not only to textile suppliers but also to those who produce finished garments.

Maredimoda Trend Board comprising WGSN, David Shah, and NABA has done trend forecasting for summer 2018. The Board forecast four trends—radical honesty, sporty activist, deep glamour, and gypset swim—for swimwear, and two trends—girl gang and precious—for intimates.

Radical Honesty: “Radical Honesty” embraces realness and celebrates diversity by showing an unconventional and non-stereotyped aesthetic. This trend emulates the redefinition of unisex and genderless swimwear as well as a new femininity, tapping into a minimal aesthetic played with a subtle and tonal colour palette.
