Pranav Mishra discusses with Fibre2Fashion the trends for Spring/Summer 2016 in men

Fibre2fashion : Which three trends will define menswear in S/S 2016?

Pranav Mishra:

Lace, safari shirts, print-on-print.

Fibre2fashion : What kind of fabrics will be in trend?

Pranav Mishra:

Laces will definitely make a mark.

Fibre2fashion : Are there are any particular colours or prints that will be the highlight for menswear in S/S2016?

Pranav Mishra:

Florals when it comes to prints, colours would be fresh but grey will continue to dominate.

Fibre2fashion : Will the sporty chic trend continue in fashion?

Pranav Mishra:

Sporty chic is too street now, it won't be a statement.

Fibre2fashion : What kind of detailing do you think will be seen in future for menswear?

Pranav Mishra:

Sharp and functional.

Fibre2fashion : How trend-sensitive do you think is the menswear market?

Pranav Mishra:

The market in India is not trend sensitive, and the global styles on the streets are accepted a little too late. But classics are accepted well.

Fibre2fashion : What according to you will be a classic summer ensemble for a stylish male?

Pranav Mishra:

A printed silk double-button suit in pastels.

Fibre2fashion : Which trends will men do good to abide by this wedding/party season?

Pranav Mishra:

Men should not fear velvet but at the same time use it wisely.

Fibre2fashion : With womenswear getting androgynous do you think there's a section of fashion that is getting more unisex?

Pranav Mishra:

Definitely what with the changing times and the whole gender bender game going strong. Fashion is getting unisex, and is even more exciting from what we had in the past.

Fibre2fashion : How do you try to merge international trends to create garments suitable for Indian customers?

Pranav Mishra:

Understanding of body types is critical when it comes to designing for the market because if it does not fit you, then it's not for you.
