Fibre2Fashion: What key design attributes you believe distinguish Esprit from its counterparts?

Colin Henry:

Esprit is an attitude, not an age and shows the Californian casual lifestyle.

 

F2F: What is the relevance of Quality and Fit in terms of designing?

CH:

Quality is very important for Esprit as we want to be part of our customer’s wardrobe for a long time! All fits should make her feel confident and look more beautiful!

F2F: 3. What all factors are considered to have an influence on the themes and collection stories at ESPRIT during the conceptualization of fresh collections?

CH:

Californian lifestyle as it is part of Esprit’s heritage, combined with current global trends for a contemporary, fresh look.

F2F: What according to you are the biggest challenges for designers while working for Mass –Markets/Fast Fashion?

CH:

Most challenging is the delivery of 12 collections per year, inevitably bringing along very tight schedules. However, it also allows us to show something new and fresh each month. Our challenge to ourselves is to always give the customer something new, each time they come to one of our stores.

F2F: 5. What new styles can the ESPRIT followers expect to be seeing during coming seasons?

CH:

Feminine bohemian looks, inspired by our heritage, Californian college lifestyle.
