1984
The former owners of Hugo Boss, Jochen and Uwe Holy, found Strellson and laid the foundation for their success story. The firm grows out of the former Kreuzlingen coat factory Friedrich Straehl & Co.

1985/86
The first collection is launched with suits, sports jackets and trousers, and is instantly appreciated by customers in Germany, Austria and Holland.

1988/89
Strellson invests in its own production plant in Portugal. New sales outlets are opened in Canada, England, Ireland, Portugal, Greece and Scandinavia.

1990/91
Strellson moves into new headquarters in Kreuzlingen.

1993
Jochen und Uwe Holy bring Reiner Pichler on board. The collection is extended to include shirts and ties.

1995
Reiner Pichler becomes CEO of Strellson AG. Under his guidance an innovative and creative team emerges, and it is thanks to them that the Swiss label subsequently develops into a leading supplier of urban men’s fashion. The communication strategy and the innovative advertising campaign are launched, with the aim of making the brand name Strellson well-known.

1997
A subsidiary is set up in Paris. In Munich and London the first shop-in-shops are opened.

1998
The advertising campaign is developed further, and the collection expands to include knitwear and leather jackets.

1999
Strellson expands its product range, and acquires the European license for Tommy Hilfiger menswear.

2002
The lifestyle and fashion company invests 26 million Swiss Francs in a new logistics building. New uniforms for Swiss pilots and stewards are supplied by Strellson.

2003

The Swiss Cross jacket made of old Swiss Army blankets is marketed in a limited and numbered edition. The 3000 parkas are sold in the twinkling of an eye – a marketing success of a special kind.

2004  
Several brand stories are now being written on Lake Constance, as Windsor Men is also moved to Kreuzlingen. Reiner Pichler is responsible for the brand direction of Windsor; the entire responsibility for Windsor Men is now with Strellson. The licence for Joop! jeans and menswear is also with Windsor. Strellson has a third share in Joop! Hamburg.

2005
  • A great honour for Strellson. The firm is awarded the textile industry’s coveted “Forum Prize” in the Industry category. The prize acknowledges outstanding achievements which have a special influence on the development of the textile industry, and are singled out as exemplary.
  • Strellson launches its own sportswear label: Strellson Swiss Cross – fashion for active men, who prefer clothes for their leisure time which are strongly influenced by sportswear and casual wear. The collection plays with Swiss design elements, and its practical yet casual style is convincing.
  • Strellson produces its first cinema commercial in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company now employs around 150 people in Kreuzlingen, about 400 worldwide. About 55% of the collection is sold abroad – Strellson supplies 150 shops in 36 countries.
  • The firms Strellson AG and Windsor GmbH appear as one enterprise under the umbrella of the Holy Fashion Group. The brands Strellson, Strellson Swiss Cross, Windsor Men, Windsor Women, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored Clothing and JOOP! Men, JOOP! Women and JOOP! Jeans (Men and Women) are all under one central management.
  • In Basle, Berne und Zurich the first Swiss Cross shops are opened in Switzerland. The shops, which are designed and fitted down to the last detail, provide the perfect setting to display the new sportswear collection in a way that catches the eye.

2006
The first collection with the new licence partner for Strellson Underwear, Schiesser in Radolfzell (Germany), is launched. The contract with the company includes the production of Strellson swimwear, which will be available from 2007.

2007
Strellson launches Strellson Eyewear and Strellson Shoes and Bags.

2008
Opening of the first Strellson Sportswear Monostore in Berlin and Monostores in Graz, Antwerp and Bern.

2009

  • Launch Strellson Sportswear image campaign Spring/Summer 2009.
  • Strellson enlarges distribution in China with 23 new Strellson Monostores.

2010

  • Strellson grants fragrance licence to M&W Prestige Cosmetics GmbH, Stolberg (Germany).
  • Launch of the first Strellson fragrance: Strellson N°1.

2011

  • Strellson opens its first German flagship store at Königsallee 11, Düsseldorf.
  • Launch of the second Strellson Premium fragrance – Strellson D.STRICT.

2012

  • Launch of the Strellson Sportswear fragrance Strellson – LOADED.
  • Strellson opens a Monobrand Store in Perm/Russia and two Monobrand Stores in Taipeh/Taiwan.
