1977: Blumarine was set up by Anna Molinari and her husband Gianpaolo Tarabini.
1980: Blumarine makes its debut at Modit, the single most important Italian trade show for the industry.
1981: First show at the space at Via Manzoni in Milan.
1983: Miss Blumarine for girls aged 4 to 14 joined the Blumarine line, under license to Spazio Sei S.r.l.
1990: First Blumarine mono brand boutique was opened in Milan.
1992: Helmut Newton, one of the greatest fashion photographers, interpreted the Blumarine image, creating one of the maison’s finest ad campaigns. Also, the Blumarine Home Collection of furniture and linen for the home was introduced, under license to SVAD Dondi S.p.A.
1994: The firm expanded with nearly 400 retail outlets worldwide and an ever-increasing 20% exports quota.
1995: The Blumarine line was joined by the innovative and trendy Anna Molinari range, designed by the daughter Rossella Tarabini, and by the Blugirl line, prêt-à-porter for younger women.
1996: Blumarine mono brand boutique opened in Singapore and also in Seoul.
1997: A license agreement was signed with Bellantuono S.r.l. for the production and distribution of the Blumarine bridal wear line.
1999: Taipei mono brand boutique came into existence.
2000: Welcomed new millennium by launching two new boutiques in Italy and Asia.
2001: New mono brand store was opened in August in Tokyo. At the same time an exhibition was planned that highlighted most significant Blumarine ad campaigns from 1991 till that date.
2002: The Blumarine mono brand store opened in July in the prestigious space in Via Bocca di Leone in Rome and Hong Kong.
2003: The Miss Blumarine Jeans (clothing and accessories for girls aged 4 to 14) and Miss Blumarine Baby (clothing for baby girls aged 0 to 36 months) lines were introduced. Along the lines, the Blumarine mono brand boutique was opened in Marbella and Tokyo.
2004: Blumarine mono brand boutique opened in Osaka.
2005: Blumarine mono brand boutiques open in Brazil.
2006: In January the mono brand Blumarine boutique was opened in Florence. In April the Blumarine mono brand boutique opened at Via Camerelle on Capri and in December the Blumarine boutique opens in Taipei.
After the death of Gianpaolo Tarabini the son, Gianguido Tarabini, takes over management of the company as CEO of Blufin.
2007: In June the first Blumarine Cruise collection was presented, exclusively for the mono brand boutiques and selected buyers from Italy and other countries.
2008: Rossella Tarabini resigns as creative director of the line and artistic director of the maison while continuing to supervise the Blumarine ad campaigns. In April the Blumarine mono brand store was opened in the top-end Burjuman shopping centre in Dubai.
2009: Blufin opened the new showroom at Milan. In February the first Blugirl Italian mono brand boutique was opened in via della Spiga 48 (Milan). In February the Blumarine mono brand boutique opens at Doha, Qatar. In March the Blugirl mono brand boutique opens at Manama, Bahrein. In March the Blumarine mono brand boutique opens at Pusan, Corea. In May the second Blumarine mono brand boutique opens at Dubai.
2010: In March Blufin signed a license agreement with De Rigo Vision S.p.A., a leading company in the high-range eyewear business, for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Blumarine and Blugirl-branded eyewear and sunwear.
2011: In April the Blumarine and Blugirl mono brand boutique opened at Paris in Faubourg Saint-Honoré. In May and in August Blumarine mono brand boutique and Blugirl mono brand boutique open at Kuwait City.
2012: In January Blugirl shop in shop was opened at Guangzhou, China. In February Blumarine mono brand boutique opens at Kiev and Blugirl mono brand boutique opens at Riyadh.
