Walter Steiger Spring 2013 Collection
Walter Steiger showcased his 'Spring 2013 Collection' with an inspiration take from a fairytale, with fully fledged unicorns, pixies and amphibinas, it also included his signature bow-shaped heel and covered it with studs, designed with metal finish and covered in crinkle fabric.
The Statement of the Steiger Claw
Walter's collection encapsulates a distinct flare and stylish attitude. While designing the entire shoe, he focuses on maintaining one continuous linear shape, which is highlighted in silhouette of each style.
Many of his innovative radical designs have become accepted statements of modern footwear. The glove boot, curved heel, zipper in the back of sandal etc are some of Walter Steiger's well-known designs.
In the early 60's Walter had developed the curved heel which is known as "Steiger heel" in Italian manufacturing districts, with the intention of mimicking the natural line of foot and the shape has been measure up to the claw of a Faclon.
Handbag capsule - the City Collection
Steiger's "City" handbag collection includes street sleek essentials - a slouchy, slinky clutch, an elegant beach tote, a sleek shoulder throw-over - all designed to suit the needs of the city. Steiger's each pieces are distinctively handmade, using luxurious plush Vaprolux leather and features a distinctive rugged "Rockabilly" aesthetic.

Walter Steiger's collection exclusively features the characteristic "Gold lining" which has been a signature for many years. The 'Shank and Cut' is another innovation introduced by Steiger, has a unique cut of the 'decollete.' The shoe crafted to be kept parallel to the sole, is cut-out in specific shank style that adds to its comfort and simplification.
