A Geneva based shoe craftsman Walter Steiger launched his label in 1932. He was dedicated to create custom footwear in a variety of unique styles and materials. Walter's eldest son had developed a keen interest into his father traditional techniques by gaining knowledge and practicing with his father, he soon became an instrumental figure in the creative process.

Walter Steiger junior established first ready-to-wear boutique in 1974 with, strengthening brand's international acclaim in Paris, which later marked the beginning of a Steiger expansion. Soon after his opening of first boutique in Paris, Steiger opened another boutique in Milan, London and New York.

To keep the family tradition going-on with dash of newness, Walter and his sons opened 'Steiger Bottier' in 2009. The studio situated in Paris is dedicated to serve excellence of made-to-measure shoes for both men and women. All his products are produced on the clear lines and sleek minimalist design of the design, by using exclusive and high-quality materials and by adding the tint of and knowledge of traditional craftsmanship.

Giulio and Paul, the third generation Steiger, led to the opening of the Walter Steiger long gehegtem desire of a very exclusive measure-shoe workshop for men and women.
