MENSWEAR AW13: THE JOURNEYMAN

This season renowned British brand Reiss focuses on "a kaleidoscope of different experiences" with its menswear collection. It's about the journey rather than the destination, concentrating on durable clothes to travel in. The collection is timeless and believable for the self-assured man who has an adventurous spirit.

When designing this collection, Reiss' design team was inspired by how children's books simplify grown-up situations with a playful approach. These books also influenced the collection’s diverse colour palette and rich textures.

WOMENSWEAR AW13 : DRESSED TO KILL

An interest in the past is paired with a fascination of the future. This takes on a modern, feminine interpretation of the 1920s and a flirtation with Gatsby-esque decadence - but with contemporary overtones.

There's a love for old-school dressing up a la Jerry Hall at Studio 54, but as well as sparkle, there's a sense of realism, where garments are easy to understand and create a flexible wardrobe of timeless pieces.

Colours are subdued and stylish with occasional flashes of something bold or unexpected; while fabrics - and the clashing of them - are so important in a season where contrasting textures offer depth and richness to each and every look.

SS13 Menswear

Drawing its inspiration from Nigel Slater's The Kitchen Diaries, Reiss' SS13 menswear collection will be serving The Summer Diaries; a prescriptive, month-by-month 'sartorial menu' to take you through the four temperate seasons.

Expect creative silhouettes, subversive fabrication and amplified colour; finished off with Reiss' signature impeccable craftsmanship.

Ideal for the warmer months, soft tailoring is a must for SS13, try lightweight styles in unstructured cuts and short-sleeved cotton or linen shirts, signalling summer's arrival. While, instantly refreshing to your summer wardrobe are luxurious whites and neutral hues, as well as bolder pops of colour and botanical-inspired prints.

SS13 Womenswear

The SS13 womenswear collection speaks of a love for the new and exciting and is inspired by modernity, infused with all the colour, print and femininity you'd expect from a summer collection.

A contemporary range of clothes and accessories which speak to women's real lives, this season we've been inspired by Nick Knight, The Great Gatsby and a fresh approach to colour and florals. So, you'll find refreshing hues, blurred prints and voluptuous fabrics, creating a modern, wearable collection.

Tailoring is always key for us, and this season the collection is peppered with bright, tonal trouser suits and fresh tweed jackets with matching shorts in peach or peppermint. Prints comprise of modern and exaggerated blooms; hydrangea, lotus and poppy prints all make an appearance.

And colour feels fresh with pastel hues like blush pink, antique lilac and peppermint bouncing off watermelon red and apple green with pops of acid and a few grounding, earthy tones, too.
