It was founded by Lydia Pearson and
    Pamela Easton.

Their rich romantic clothes feature beautifully handcrafted embroidered, beaded,
appliquéd and sequined fabrics. They design the clothes and all the decorative
detail and pattern on their textiles and have a small workroom in Mumbai,
India, of highly skilled artisans who do most of the embroidery and beading.

Arts graduate Lydia Pearson taught herself pattern making and began to create
her own fashion range after a local boutique asked to sell one of her dresses.
This taste of success prompted the desire to develop her own range.

When they met in 1987, Lydia and Pamela were inspired to create their own
label that drew its influences from vintage clothing and textiles, old movies,
books and museums as well as the textiles and designs of India, Africa and
    Europe.
