In this year, Donna Karan International went Public on NYSE. IT also opened flagship stores in London and England (Company-owned as of 1999). The same year saw the opening of DKNY stores in Manchester, England. (Company-owned as of 1999)

1997
Launch of Donna Karan Signature Collection

1998
In this year, DKNY Stores were opened in Beverly Hills at California, Manhasset in New York, Las Vegas in Nevada and Short Hills at New Jersey. DKNY also launched its Mens Dress Shirts, Mens Neckwear and Hosiery. The Donna Karan Beauty was transferred to Estee Lauder. Donna Karan Japan was sold to Onward Kashiyama.

1999
DKNY flagship stores were opened on Madison Avenue in New York. DKNY stores were also opened in Boston, Massachusetts, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Cherry Creek at Colorado. This year also saw the launch of pure DKNY for men and women, DKNY mens tailored clothing, DKNY active, Donna Karan signature and DKNY womens coat collections, DKNY underwear for women and DKNY infants and toddlers collection.

2000
DKNY Store opened in Costa Mesa, California, Ala Moana, Hawaii and Northbrook at Illinois. The launch of DKNY Jeans Juniors, DKNY Watches, DKNY Swimwear and DKNY Mens Fragrance were witnessed in 2000.

2001
In 2001, Donna Karan New York flagship was opened on Madison Avenue in New York City and in Costa mesa, California. DKNY store also opened in Soho, New York. Donna Karan New York, DKNY home collections, City DKNY and DKNY cozy were launched. This year saw the acquisition of Donna Karan International, Inc. by LVMH, Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

2003
Donna Karan New York flagship store was opened in Tokyo, Japan. A DKNY Jeans flagship store was also opened in Tokyo, Japan. The DKNY Jeans (International) and Donna Karan Black Cashmere-The Fragrance were launched in this year.

2004
DKNY 'Be Delicious for Women' was launched where as DKNY Coats was re-launched in this year.

2005
Donna Karan Essence Fragrance and DKNY 'Be Delicious for Men' was launched in 2005.

2006
Donna Karan New York Store was opened in Seoul, Korea whereas DKNY Flagship store was opened in Tokyo, Japan. DKNY stores also opened in this year at Seoul, Korea and Shanghai, China. In this same year, Donna Karan Gold Fragrance, DKNY Mens Underwear, DKNY Womens Socks and DKNY Mens Belts were launched.

2007
In 2007, the Donna Karan New York store was opened in Beijing, China. DKNYC and DKNY Delicious Night Fragrance were also launched along with the re-launch of DKNY Jeans (International) with Club 21.

2008
Safat, Kuwait saw the opening of Donna Karan New York store and DKNY store in 2008. DKNY Mens Fragrance and DKNY Womens Jewelry were also launched.

2009
In 2009, DKNY store was opened in New Delhi, India. This year also witnessed the launch of DKNY Womens Golf, DKNY Mens Belts & Small Leather Goods, Donna Karan iPhone App, DKNY Cozy App, Donna Karan New York and DKNY Facebook pages and @DKNY Twitter profile.

2010
In 2012, the Donna Karan E-commerce Site was launched along with the re-launch of DKNY.com. Pure DKNY Fragrance and Donna Karan Leno x Tabletop and Giftware Collection were also launched. Donna Karan New York Store was opened in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2011
DKNY PR Girl launched blog on Tumblr in 2011.
