Pret-a-porter
Igor Chapurin presented his new prêt-a-porter collection fall-winter 2012/13. Legendary clans of Coppola, Sinatra, Forbes, Kennedy and their cultural impact on future generations inspired designer to create the collection “Dynasty”. The collection is a combination of classic and avant-garde. Cigarette dresses, deconstructed jackets, narrow pants, volume coats - all those pieces create a sense of hip and alive design.
Designer mixes different types of fabrics including perforated leather and cloth. Deep black and brown, tints of beige, illuminated by violet and turquoise smears, are the mail colours of “Dynasty”.
CHAPURIN Spring-Summer 2013 WOODSTOCK
Contemporary culture - whether it is music or literature, cinema or fashion - was to a great extent influenced by the hippie philosophy. Woodstock festival turned to a symbol of the hippie movement, a manifestation of emancipation and pacifism. Woodstock as a symbol of art liberty inspired Igor Chapurin into creation of this spring-summer 2013 collection.
The Woodstock idea is reflected in the geometry of cuts, soft silhouettes of the cocktail dresses, and voluminous sleeves in the blouses. Mixture of natural shoulder lines and cozy skirts’ lengths, flowing evening gowns’ drapes, laconic jumpsuits and self-restrained brutality of leather shorts and skirts. The new CHAPURIN collection sees a mosaic of natural fabrics - silk, crepe de Chine, and opal leather. Colour is a key emotional element of the Woodstock collection. Bright shades of pink and a palette of emerald eased where necessary by black and beige. Igor Chapurin uses printed fabrics of the hippie attributed geometrical ornaments.
