In March 2007, took place celebration of the opening of Richard James' first Tokyo store. Located in Asia's hottest new destination, Roppongi, Tokyo midtown, the store introduced an exciting and unique service for the Asian market with an inimitable union of Japanese and Savile Row artistry. Richard James painstakingly schooled elite Japanese tailors in the art of Savile Row bespoke.

The beautiful new 81.7m2 store retained all of the cool modern design details of the renowned London flagship store. Offering the entire Richard James ready to wear collection and accessories alongside their unique and unrivalled artistry in their Savile Row and Asian fusion bespoke and made to measure tailoring service.

It was another first from Savile Row pioneers, Richard James, the first of the new blood tailors on Savile Row years ago reinvigorating the row and paving the way for the new generation, the first tailors on the row to open on a Saturday, the first to offer a fragrance, the first to offer Savile Row denim, the first to offer a Savile Row sports collections and trainers.
