Christian Louboutin Fall Winter 2013 Collection
The Fall Winter 2013 collection presents an alluring ensemble of bold autumnal colors, rich textures and a clever combination of whimsy and sophistication. Deep jewel tones, tartan fabrics, delicate lace and strong silhouettes enhance the collection's diverse spirit and bring to life inspirations behind the designs.
Louboutin's Pigalle pointed-toe stiletto, with the unmistakable red sole, has emerged as an iconic staple. Following this iconic style, Fall saw a new shape that has been refashioned with an even slimmer, sleeker heel.
This collection sees the emergence of more themes and elements present in both the women's and men's designs, creating a continuity of concepts and consistency of detail. The Zazou Flat is the women's answer to the New Platers for men: a pointy yet classic lace up oxford, updated, and re-mastered by Christian Louboutin. With particular attention to craftsmanship, Zazou and New Platers have both sartorial appeal and flare and are available in variety of colors and fabrications like exotic blue-grey stingray, metallic bronze python, leopard print pony, black polished calfskin and patent leather.
While particular men's designs playfully evoke a masculine feel with details such as a red pony hair moustache on the "Watson" loafer and the military inspired hand embroideries on the Officier slipper, structured bows and semitransparent lace add a touch of glamour and femininity to the women's collection. The handmade structured bow adorned several styles such the elegant, four inch, evening Grusanda sandal, the lady-like Gruotta kitten heel and the stylish Gine flat. On the Resillissima ankle boot and Lagoula mary-jane, sheer panels of delicate diamond pattern lace ever so slightly graze the skin, highlighting the curved arch of the foot and elongating the leg.
