Kabuki, Barbara Bui's first boutique and atelier/workshop were opened in 1983. It carried women's luxury prêt-a-porter along with Barbara Bui's own creations, a limited collection of iconic pieces that represented the beginning of her own line.
1987
This year saw the launch of the Barbara Bui label with her first runway fashion show in Paris and the opening of the first Barbara Bui boutique.
1998
BB Company was launched on the Paris stock exchange.
1999
The label expanded in the U.S with the opening of store in New York.
2000
The BB accessories line was launched consisting of shoes, handbags, scarves, belts, wallets, make-up pochettes and leather bracelets.
2009
Atame, a line of silver jewellery entirely dedicated to chains and the symbolism of the snake was launched. The beautiful and poisonous snake is emblematic of danger. Its scales and loops twist and intermingle, mixing temptation with desire, and sensuality.
2012
BB's Gri-Gri clip-on charms and handbag ornaments in leather and metal were launched. They included Rock Dolls, Rock Balls, Snake Balls, Print Dolls, Hearts and Fringe.
2011
BB store opened in Beverly Hills in U.S.
2013
The Globe de Cristal for Best Fashion Designer 2013 was awarded to Barbara Bui by the French Arts and Culture Press Association. This year also saw the launch of Barbara Bui x Frends, the ultra-glamorous and sophisticated audio headphones designed especially for women. A BB store opened in South Coast Plaza in the U.S. in 2013.
