Established in 1956, Pura Lopez is a renowned Spanish brand that creates one of kind footwear. The brand’s shoes are entirely made in Spain in the town of Elche- in eight factories that are housed in separate modern buildings resembling workshops rather than actual standard production lines. The manufacturing process of these shoes demands special equipment which in turn requires the know-how of true craftsmen. Each workshop specializes in a different type of shoe construction, from elegant high-heeled sandals, to wedges, boots, platforms, sling-backs, casual flats etc.

The brand is named after its designer, Pura Lopez, who grew up surrounded by shoes and shoemakers. Besides her innate passion and talent for design, it has given her an unparalleled insight into the techniques applied in the creation and manufacturing of women’s shoes from an early age. Her perfectionism and demanding personality at work has made of herself a recognizable contributor to the Spanish fashion industry.

At the moment Pura Lopez is present in more than 1000 places worldwide. Those are fashion boutiques, mono-brand store and department stores of the whole world. Pura Lopez has its own stores in Piazza de Spagna in Rome Fashion district, in Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, France and Galleries Lafayette in Casablanca, Morocco.

Collaboration:

Admission to the runway became Lopez's big victory. Her models are used for shows and catwalks by such designers as Cibeles y Gaudí, Juanjo Oliva, Andrés Sardá, Javier Larraínzar and Guillermina Baeza. Moreover she collaborates with such houses as La Perla, Devota & Lomba, Joaquim Verdu, Roberto Verino and Roberto Torretta participates in Madrid Fashion Week.
