1973
Lotto made its debut among sports footwear manufacturers with tennis, soon followed by models for basketball, volleyball, athletics and football. Briefly the range was extended to the production of sportswear.

1970s
During the first 10 years, Lotto focused on the Italian market, becoming one of the brands in the sporting goods industry and confirming its position as a leader in tennis. In this duration, the great collaborations were signed with world renowned athletes of the caliber of John David Newcombe and some Italian basketball teams.

1980s
The '80s saw Lotto begin to create its first football boot models and sign major collaboration agreements with internationally renowned players and teams: Alberto Mancini and Thomas Muster in tennis, Dino Zoff, Carlo Ancelotti, Ruud Gullit and Holland in football. Their involvement in both the design and fine-tuning of the products together with their image led the company to become a leader in tennis and football. This same period saw Lotto expand into the export market. International growth continued rapidly and ten years later the brand was being distributed in more than 60 countries around the world.

1982
FIFA World Cup 1982 in Spain: Lotto was in the spotlight of the most important football event. The legendary Italian football goalkeeper, Dino Zoff wears Lotto’s shoes for this season.

1986
Lotto participated in the challenge of the World Mexico '86 alongside numerous testimonials of those years, like the Italian Giuseppe Galderisi.

1990s
Big names in the sport, such as the legendary Boris Becker and Martina Navratilova, promote the Lotto brand in the world. The company increasingly becomes popular and the high technical standard of its products are highly appreciated by the best professional sports.

1990
The great Italian passion for football continues the brand flag is in the foreground at the World Cup 1990 in Italy thanks to extraordinary testimonials as Aldo Serena and Carlo Ancelotti.

1994
Lotto joined the challenge of the 1994 Football World Cup in U.S. In the same year Lotto became the technical sponsor and official supplier of the Dutch national football team.

1998
Lotto comes back on the field at the World Cup France '98 thanks to the collaboration with numerous athletes of excellence, including Italian midfielder Demetrio Albertini. During the same year Lotto is the technical sponsor and official supplier to the National team of Czech Republic

2002
The double diamond accompanies the rallies of Cafu, the phenomenal Brazilian captain and defender, at the World Cup in Korea and Japan and was with him from 2001 till 2008.

2006
On Sunday 9th July, 2006 the Azzurri won the FIFA World Cup in Berlin for the fourth time. Several football stars wore the Lotto Zhero Evolution shoe, still used by Luca Toni and Simone Perrotta.

Lotto joined the challenge of 2006 Football World Cup in Germany. The stunning new project is Lotto Zhero Gravity, The First Football Boots without Laces! Several football stars are now using Lotto Zhero Gravity shoes. Lotto was also technical sponsor and official supplier of the National Football Teams of the Ukraine and Serbia-Montenegro.

2008
For the expected appointment of the European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland, Lotto Sport Italia presented the new Red & White collection. Lotto sponsored Athletes take the field with footwear made in an original red and white color version: corporate colors of the company and flags of Switzerland and Austria, host nations. With the Red&White collection Lotto has added another much-prized design element to its products' illustrious sporting career. Created exclusively for the most important event in European football, the players were the true-life spokespeople of the event; the standard-bearers of the sport's colors and of style. The new colors of the Red&White collection have been introduced in the Zhero and Vento lines. Players continued wearing the Red&White edition boots, which made them icons during Euro 2008, thanks to this they have become leading players of the football leagues worldwide for the entire season.

2009
Lotto Sport Italia is on the small screen. Throughout 2009 Lotto is on air on Channel SuperTennis - the third television channel in the world dedicated entirely to the courts - as Presenting Sponsor of the "Shot from Sample" and with a significant presence in the advertising planning. Great performance of the Lotto testimonial Robin Söderling, finalist at Roland Garros, in the same year.

2010
Lotto officially presents Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra, the only laceless football boot in the world, a very high evolution of the Zhero project that took life within Lotto's technical laboratory in 2002. Zhero Gravity Ultra, refined in occasion of the South Africa 2010 World Cup, allows for extraordinary contact with the ball, guaranteed by the upper made solely in microfiber, and enriched with two innovations: "Twist'nGo", for the first time featured in the laceless boot, and the brand new patented technology "ReactiveArch". Defender and Lotto testimonial Joan Capdevila wins the World Cup 2010 with Spain. Francesca Schiavone won Roland Garros and becomes the first Italian woman to get a Grand Slam singles title.

2011
Lotto launched "Lotto Talent": the first football talent scouting by Lotto Sport Italia - a tournament throughout Italy to discover the new stars of football. "Lotto Talent" is addressed to young footballers aged between 14 and 15 years: an opportunity for athletes to prove their talent in front of professional team managers and talent scouters. The winners will have the chance to play in major league football clubs sponsored by Lotto. On the tennis courts, Lotto is the companion of the victories of David Ferrer, who won the Davis Cup with Spain, and Francesca Schiavone, who writes a page in the history of tennis becoming the first Italian woman to reach the 4th place in the WTA rankings.

2012
For the Euro 2012 Soccer Championship, Lotto Sport Italia launches Stadio Potenza II 100: the "Lotto Tricolore", the tribute to the all-Italian passion for sport and football. On April the Lotto testimonial Agnieszka Radwanska turned the tables on Maria Sharapova for her very first Sony Ericsson Open title in Miami with a fantastic 7-5, 6-4 win in the final. Thanks to the amazing victory at Key Biscayne - the 5th Grand Slam tournament - Agnieszka Radwanska confirms her no. 4 position in the WTA ranking.
