STEFANEL S/S 2012 COLLECTION

The Stefanel Spring Summer 2012 Collection takes inspiration from Brigitte Bardot whose relaxed elegance conveys the free, chic and sensual attitude proper to the Stefanel woman.

The result is a collection combining a series of simple and easy garments with a range of stronger pieces with sophisticated manufacture and details. It is a season of contradictions: heavy v/s light, see-through v/s dense, bright v/s mat. The contemporary look merges very different worlds as the sport, the formal, the denim, the knitwear, the preppy and the masculine one for the final effect which is very balanced and customized.

Collection colours cover all neutral nuances, from beige through camel up to bright and strong colours as emerald green, orange and yellow. Most important are Jacquard, patterns and colour block. Printed foulards go over T-shirts and tops withvery fluent lines. Colour and pattern matching are clean and strong creating a great-impact effect in line with current fashion trends.

Fabrics and yarns are distinguished by an additional improvement in quality. Precious fibres like silk, very delicate cotton and light cashmere are employed. The spring-summer 2012 features a new looking cotton/polyester for innovative and modern suits. Among the new entries and must have of the collection there is the denim T-shirt to go over shorts, skirts, sweatshirts and trousers.

The “knit-denim” reflects perfectly Stefanel’s ability to reinterpret, in a modern way and with a special attention to research, its role as knitwear manufacturer leader. Knitwear piece is intended to be not only the classic sweater: on the contrary it can be worn in various ways for a total look which is convenient, chic and sensual at the same time.

The effect is, as usual, to put contrasts together as brightness and opacity, thickness and lightness, three-dimensionality and flatness as mat or jacquard.

Accessories and bijoux are made with ever increasing attention to the smallest details and become, collection after collection, an essential part of the look. Bags and shoes reflect the current fashion trends. Besides classical colours as black and leather brown, there are also fluorescent coloured accessories which confer each look something special and strong. Bijoux continue to be, thanks to their shapes and material, a key accessory which completes each look.

STEFANEL S/S 2012 ECO-CASHMERE CAPSULE COLLECTION
Stefanel present its Spring/Summer 2012 Eco-Cashmere Capsule Collection during Milan fashion week.

The collection has been inspired by the seventies and by Bianca Jagger's style and personality. It is composed of 25 special garments designed to be worn besides the conventional ways and has been conceived to create a total look that includes sweaters, cardigans, tops, pants and even sensual dresses. The final result is an easy elegance, glamorous but also very comfortable. Clothing have been dyed with eco-colours using the tie & dye process. Some pieces have been realized with a net or ribbed texture, some others have been designed as a mix of overlaps, asymmetries, drapes, which create a finalbalanced effect, wearable and original at the same time; the shapes are soft but sensual. Layering, colour blocking and tie & dye are the guidelines of the collection.

Not only classic items, but also sensual and very feminine pieces were created thanks to the fluid material that softly wraps the feminine body, for a modern interpretation of the cashmere.

The thin and extremely soft eco-cashmere is a precious and fluid yarn for every season.

STEFANEL: CRAFT, QUALITY, COMFORT

AUTUMN/WINTER’S 2012-13 COLLECTION FIVE POINTS WARDOBE PLAN IS ALL ABOUT:

- The ease of utilitarian essentials.   - The clarity of classic tailoring.   - The romance of artisan skill.   - The simple practicality of sportswear separates.   - Luxury details

These are the principles that define the Stefanel collection for AW2012-13.

The consummate modern wardrobe is a place where worlds collide. Elements of urban routine and weekend relaxation cross style boundaries into each other’s territory.

The Stefanel customer collects and mixes the pieces that they love, paying attention only to the requirements of their own routine. They style their wardrobe in a way that uniquely suits their life. Their favourite pieces are prized for the things that really matter to their: quality, craft and comfort. Layering the tailored over the soft; the urban over the sporty; the classic over the relaxed; the country jacquard knit over the rock chic leather pant: they prizes style impact over fashion formulae. And it seems to them the more they mix things up, the better they look. The texture of Aran and jacquard knits over glossy urban leathers achieves a seductively chic slouch.

A sharply tailored city coat in softest camel is a timeless wardrobe essential, but over cashmere track pants is also a head turning trend. A mannish cigarette pant in wool suiting is chic with flat brogues and cool with a hooded cashmere sweatshirt.

The coatigan has become a fashion classic in their wardrobe, so addicted are they to its laid back luxury. They styles it up over a dress and pumps or down over a bare leg and boots. They are apt to find that with a chunky knit, they can dispense entirely with their jacket.

And they mixes their best loved sporty pieces, their parka and their leather biker jacket, with their sharpest city clothes and makes them fresh again. Finishing touches are the details that make all the difference. So their fringed boots are what give them simplest separates an urban edge. Their softest leather portfolio bag is updated a chunky chain handle and panel of tweed. And the deepest hobo tote is what gives them swingy short coat its fashion attitude.

With the AW12-13 Stefanel collection, Stefanel girl is good to go.
