Hobo

Hobo, the "lace-up with no laces"

Hobo Fratelli Rossetti Lace Up With No LacesFratelli Rossetti presents Hobo, the new lace-up of classic inspiration featuring a non-conformist spirit.

A combination between an Oxford and a Derby to be worn laced, unlaced or without laces.

Hobo is inspired by the nomad in each of us. With its understated look, it expresses the free spirit of every wanderer the world over, not to mention the curious and those that love to enjoy life.

It is a naturally versatile shoe: casual under a pair of jeans, formal with trousers, or chic with skirt. For a playful, light-hearted look, the Hobo can be worn without laces: its light, enveloping structure makes it possible, heightening the sense of freedom and creating a shabby-chic feel.

Hobo is made using the softest leathers which give it a glove-like fit. Its uppers are enhanced with an explosive decoration of hand perforated holes. The colours? They range from natural hues such as white, olive and tan to brighter hues such as red and mimosa.

In addition to the single colour variants presented in the collection by Fratelli Rossetti, Elisa is also available in a 'made to order' version: like a white space, it can be personalized according to one's style, combining materials and colours, creating a unique and exclusive bag. In both cases it is possible to 'sign' the interior of the bag with one's name.

Milano

Fratelli Rossetti Milano Via MontenapoleoneTo celebrate the reopening of the boutique at 1, Via Montenapoleone has been designed "Milano" an urban chic lace-up. Made in patent leather, it comes in a range of dazzling, bright colours: navy blue, cyclamen, powder pink, meadow green and orange. "Milano", features a contemporary design, extremely soft leather and hand-perforated uppers that together underscore all the qualitative features that have long set Fratelli Rossetti apart.

Craftsmanship and style also characterize the new concept of the boutique designed by French architect François Muracciole: each and every element and detail of the shop has been designed to express the art of creating footwear, and the essence of Fratelli Rossetti.

Wo-mannish style
Femininity and sensuality with a masculine slant

Wo-mannish style- Femininity and sensuality with a masculine slantAndrogynous and sophisticated, conscious and anti-conformist; this is the type of woman Fratelli Rossetti has in mind for the winter of 2012. For her, it has invented a collection full of typically masculine prints and details, all of which have been interpreted with a sensual take. A modern day heroine that has returned to the sartorial rigour of the '30s and '40s, whilst at the same time managing to give it a new take, full of feminine irreverence.

The utmost form of expression of this wo-mannish trend is the Dandy range, the hallmark of which includes retro details such as the piping and the internal edging in grosgrain. The anti-conformist inspiration is underscored in the new "derby without laces", which creates an easy going and andro chic look. The range is completed with slip-ons, boots and ankle boots, all made in a vintage-look leather. The colours are classic: tan, dark brown, burgundy and bottle green.

The Brera moccasin had to play a part in a collection that combines masculine and feminine codes. The Fratelli Rossetti icon is presented with a host of new features in this season, starting with a range of unusual colours and materials. The pony skin with a Seventies style graphic print stands out, along with the hand buffed pony skin and the metallic colours. The Brera has also been reworked and produced in a new ankle boot version. Winter 2012 will also be seeing the arrival of the Lady Brera: the Fratelli Rossetti moccasin is "donning its heels", transforming itself into a new tasselled high-heel pump.

The Magenta boot is set to become a part of the riding trend. Another Fratelli Rossetti landmark, it sees a reworking of a model from the Seventies. Aimed at customers in search of an informally classic style, it has been embellished with versions in antique effect calfskin and buffed pony skin, details that underscore the product's craftsmanship.

The collection sees a wide range of lace ups which are in keeping with the neo dandy inspiration, and are a part of the brand's authentic DNA. Fratelli Rossetti has worked on the codes of its men's shoes, overhauling them to invent a new form of femininity for itself which is far removed from classic tenets. Snakeskin combined with patent leather makes for a version that creates interest, as does the pony skin combined with antique effect calfskin.

Milano Moda Men
Colour that fits like a glove

Milano Moda Men, All OverIt's going to be a winter all about colour at Fratelli Rossetti, which is presenting the All Over, a range of shoes painted by craftsmen, from the uppers to the sole, in one single nuance. Myrtle, ottanium, bottle green and burgundy are just some of the shades for the man who won’t go without refined style and craftsmanship, but who at the same time manages to avoid taking himself too seriously.

All Over is an example of how Fratelli Rossetti lavishes care on every detail, even those that are well hidden. Each shoe is made in the Parabiago workshops in Milan, and requires at least 3 days of work. All Over stands out thanks to the finishing process. After cutting and sewing using traditional methods, the master artisans paint the welt using a brush and the same colour as the uppers. Even the profile (sole edge) is painted and wax buffed by hand to emphasise the colour. Last but not least comes the sole, which in turn is painted by artisans and coordinated with the rest of the shoe for an unconventional elegance.

The All Over technique is used on a number of models: from the Brera moccasin to the round-toe lace-up, from the ankle boot to the sporty boot, made in suede or in batik calfskin.

Brera shoe

Brera ShoesIt was the Sixties when Renzo Rossetti introduced the mythical “tassels” for the first time. In an Italy that was still austere, unaccustomed to caring about accessories, in which essentiality was not a trend, but rather a daily life style, this original decorative element was a true revolution.

Today, like yesterday Brera - the name comes from the historic Milanese district- shatters old patterns, enhancing the details and delivering unusual colours and fabric combinations. Brera is part of the “ICONE” project which sees the re-release of historical items taken from the Fratelli Rossetti museum.
