The son of Mr. Jean Goldberg, founder of Façonnable, gained immense inspiration from his father when he gained visibility on the Riviera as his skills were increasingly in demand by would-be actors in need of evening wear during the Cannes Film Festival. It was at this time that his son Mr. A. Goldberg learned the invaluable skill of being a master tailor.

For its Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the brand took inspiration from the wanderlust of the great explorers, Casablanca. The rich, exotic landscape of Bertolucci’s 1991 "The Sheltering Sky" giving the sense of the spirited elegance inspired the collection. Handcrafted details, like badges were inspired by old world luggage tags. Garment-dyed separates, ethnic-inspired patterns and a standout printed Fair Isle technique round out the confident collection.
