Margaretha Ley, a former Swedish model, had a solid education in tailoring and ample experience with demanding customers. Bold color combinations, opulent embroideries, combinations of patterns, and leopard prints endowed ESCADA’s early creations with a touch of irrepressible joie de vivre.
