History

1964: A self taught fashion talent Elie Saab was born in Lebanon and at the tender age of 9, he was determined to be a part of the fashion industry.

1982: At the age of 18, he opened his very first couture atelier in Beirut managing over dozen of employees. In the following months, he presented his first collection to a public of women.

1997: Elie Saab was the sole non-Italian designer to be part of well-known Italian Camera Nazionale della Moda. He also showcased his first collection in Rome, outside Lebanon.

1998: He opened his ready-to-wear in Milan. Saab also made his fashion show that was attended by Princess Stephanie of Monaco.

1999: The gorgeous Queen Rania of Jordan chooses her wear for her coronation from the vast range of Elie Saab's designs.

2000: Elie Saab was invited by the Chambre Syndicale De La Haute Couture to show in Paris where he had presented his four collections Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear in a year. Later after six years, he became a corresponding member.

2002: Burgundy gown, worn by Halle Berry for Oscar ceremony gave flight to Elie Saab recognition, crossing Middle East and other parts of the world.

2005: Elie Saab inaugurated a modern five-storey building where his workshops, studio, the ready-to-wear boutique and couture showroom are located.

2006: A year in which Elie Saab launched his first ready-to-wear spring-summer collection in Paris, making Paris a home for his eternal ready-to-wear runway.

2007: He set a flagship boutique in the heart of Le Triangle D'or.

2010: Elie Saab had dressed around 102 celebrities for famous global events and installed his flagship store in Dubai, making it his store in Gulf Region.

2011: Elie Saab launched his fragrance "Le Parfum" that created history by becoming highest seller in 15 countries.

2012: Elie Saab opened his first store in Asia, store in Mexico and his boutique in Geneva, Switzerland.
