• Menswear Designer - 1997/1999
• Classic Designer - 2001
• Contemporary Designer - 2003 and
• Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design – 2011, voted for by a panel of leading internationally acclaimed journalists and retailers to recognize Paul's extraordinary career and contribution to the British Fashion Industry.
• January 2012, Paul Smith received a medal from the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë. The medal is the 'Médaille de la Ville de Paris' which was created in 1911 and is awarded to people who in their own way have done great things that make Paris shine!

Paul Smith is revered for his designs which are described as 'classics with a twist' and for his signature idiosyncratic take on traditional British styling in both his fashion collections and shops.
