Gunjan Arora
Rahul Jain and Gunjan Arora founded Sirali in 1998.
Inspired by the traditional crafts of tie-dyes and the vibrant colours of India, Gunjan has carved a distinct image for Sirali, both within the country and in the international market.
The launch of the Sirali label heralded Arora’s unique style, his designs making a bold statement for a novel fusion of the ancient East and a modern West at various Prêt-a-Porter and Premium Vision exhibitions around the world.
In the course of his travels across India, Arora acquainted himself with its rich variety of textiles, colours and motifs. His visits to Bhuj gave him a taste for the traditional crafts of tie-dye and block printing. He has since incorporated this rich and traditional craft in his designs, bringing global recognition to its distinctive appeal.
Arora has worked on several prestigious projects; including the NIFT launch shows at Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, and on the complete brand conceptualization and planning for ‘Revolution’. He also participated at the International Shibori Symposium in Chile in the contemporary category.
An alumnus of NIFT, New Delhi, and Gunjan Arora began his career as an Assistant Designer at the Atelier for Gitanjali Kashyap in 1995. While a student, he received the Ritu Kumar’s Award for the Most Ingenious Technique.

Rahul has been a key motivational force behind shaping the image of the brand. He evolved the inimitable image of Sirali and gave it direction in the global arena.
Jain’s globetrotting familiarized him with the world’s limitless range of costumes, helping him evolve his distinct signature style. He also used his extensive research to arrive at his own unique expression in fashion and style.
A science graduate, Rahul Jain gave up a career in the Civil Services to pursue studies in business administration, specializing in international marketing. Dissatisfied with his corporate career, however, he soon gave vent to his creative side, finding expression through the various art forms of cinema, classical dance and design. Jain is also a strong votary of yoga and meditation.

Sirali, founded by Rahul Jain and Gunjan Arora in 1998, means ‘the peacock’s plume’, in Sanskrit. For Rahul and Gunjan it is the embodiment and the soul of the magnificence of India’s traditional arts and crafts, which they have sought to bring to their exquisite collections. The essence of the Sirali collection lies in textures and subtle fabric ornamentations.
Sirali offers a wide range of clothes that is presented in six collections each year—pre-summer, summer, high summer, festive and pre-fall for both men and women. The use of a diverse palette of colours and textures makes every collection unique in itself. In addition, the Sirali styling is classic, using the natural feel and flow of the fabrics.

With Sirali already making its presence felt in India and in the global arena, it has set its sights on setting new benchmarks with its creativity and effective availability.
Sirali has also held independent exhibitions propagating its signature style. The brand has serviced the entertainment industry with its costumes for plays, musicals and award ceremonies. The Sirali outfit that was created for Caroline Douglas brought Rahul and Gunjan global recognition for their technical expertise. Sir Sean Connery, Naomi Campbell, Kiran Rao and Malaika Arora Khan are some of the designer-duo’s celebrity clients.
Their development of a special multi -blend fabric has got them appreciation not just as Designers but also got them a place in the Textile and Art market. They recently organized a fashion show showcasing wearable art using the same technique where the garments were treated as painting canvases and art as the medium of expression.
They have actively been taking part in the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week for four consecutive seasons now where they have been rubbing shoulders with the biggest name of the fashion scenario on a global platform.Recently they have also taken part in a fashion event in Melbourne, Australia.
