Winter Collection 2008-2009


New Delhi, March 2008. Manju and Bobby Grover unveil their latest collection at the Wills Lifestyle Indian Fashion Week 2008. Their first of these is a sensuous evocation of handicraft and needlework detailing, reincarnated with an inimitable contemporary flair. Brimming with the emblematic shades of royalty-Purples and Plums, they beautifully compliment the silk laden silhouettes with eternal Blacks. These ensembles take on easy, relaxed shapes which move in a manner that's graceful and feminine. Georgettes enhance the fluidity of these garments which have been teamed with meticulous detailing and effervescent textures adding to the fashion fervour.

The second segment embraces styles that range from arty and curious geometric to bold, dramatic statements of subtle elegance and aesthetic exuberance. Browns coupled with rustics, copper hued embellishments leave the Blacks teamed with gun metal textures and metallic accentuation. Translucent Chiffons underlined with luscious Silks, playfully produce shadow and light effects accompanied with uneven hem-lines and trailing ends.

The final segments exudes matures elegance, refined sensuality subtle glamour. This line showcases a stunning range of evening dresses with contemporary metallic embellishments, making them unique. Stripped of the clichés, they have re-invented old fashion and ultra modem fusions in timeless shades and vibrant textures. Showcasing this futuristic fashion statement, Manju and Bobby have true to their design philosophy.

They even represented India at the world young designer's Awards held at Istambul in 1996 and have showcased their works at the famous lgedo fashion fair, Dusselforf, Germany: The Oorja Showings in N.Y, London and Paris. They have also had successive shows in many countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa and Bangkok. The Duo has managed to capture the sensibility of the epic genres of the urbane Indian through their dexterous designs.

They are also available in leading designer stores of the country like Ensembles (Mumbai, Delhi), Amara, Kimaya, Vama, Kalaniketan (Mumbai), Kali, Simaya, Ecru, Zenon (Kolkata), Ensemble, Citrene, Ayamik and M&BG Salon (Delhi).

The M&BG Label has thus been widely appreciated overseas and hence is available in Hong Kong, U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, Spain, Spain, U.K, France and Thailand and South Africa, after their well- acclaimed shows at The Wills lifestyle Fashion Week 2006 and 2007.
