The U.S. POLO ASSN. brand is managed by USPA Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the United States Polo Association (USPA). USPA Properties, Inc. partners with licensees in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, and the Middle East to provide consumers with branded apparel, accessories, luggage, watches, shoes and home furnishings

USPA Properties has a strong management team with extensive experience in retail, licensing and design. Additionally, the brand’s CEO and a majority of the Board of Directors are active members of the USPA and play polo regularly.

The senior executive team includes:

    • Kevin Rosenbloom, Senior Director of Merchandising for the Americas

The company’s board of directors is composed of seven members of varying business backgrounds, most with close ties to the apparel industry and/or the game of polo.

David Cummings

David Cummings manages the U.S. POLO ASSN. brand as President and CEO of USPA Properties Inc. He formerly served as executive director of the United States Polo Association (USPA) until 2003.

Since taking the reins at USPA Properties, he has increased the annual revenues for the brand dramatically, assuring the future stability and programs of the USPA. Despite challenging economic conditions, the U.S. POLO ASSN. brand experienced its best performing year ever in 2010 with global wholesale revenues of $475 million.

After attending Texas A&M, David first led then left the family agribusiness (oil, cattle and horses) for diverse positions with Occidental Chemical, Provident Life and Accident Insurance Co., West Trails Management, Wild Horse Valley Ranch and the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, and also coordinated sporting events like the FIP World Championship, the Pacific Coast Open and the U.S. Open Polo Championship.

Along the way, when he discovered polo was a combination of his favorite pastimes, football and rodeo, David was hooked. He continues to play the sport non-professionally and has created polo clubs in Texas, California and Kentucky.

Jim Scully

Jim Scully is Vice President of Licensing at USPA Properties Inc. and manages a diverse network of over 70 licensees in 135 countries.

Jim began his retail career at Haggar Apparel Company, working with exporting, licensing, customs compliance, governmental relations and trademarks.

Leaving Dallas for Miami, he was hired at Perry Ellis International, a $1 billion apparel corporation, as VP of Licensing. He managed more than 16 license agreements for brands that included Perry Ellis, Munsingwear, JANTZEN and PING (under license) in both the domestic and international markets. He also worked with the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office of the White House as a cleared advisor and as President of the United States Apparel Industry Council.

Today, home for Jim is Lexington, Kentucky, the “Horse Capital of the World.”

Brian F. Kaminer

As the Global Design Director at USPA Properties Inc., Brian F. Kaminer coordinates the creative for all aspects of the U.S. POLO ASSN. brand. He has worked with many of the most famous brands in the world, from apparel icons like Tommy Hilfiger to catalogue kings like Williams-Sonoma and SkyMall. His broad background has honed his talents in merchandising, marketing, sourcing and product/brand development.

Brian began his successful career in 1973 at Burdines, the Miami-based division of Federated Department Stores. During his nine-year stint with them, he held various buying positions for both men’s and women's sportswear. After that, he spent seven years with Gant Corp., where he rose to VP of Merchandising and a year and a half with John Weitz of New York in their sales and marketing division.  Later, he left Nautica in New York City as VP of Merchandising to join Land’s End clothing firm as VP of Product Development in 1992. 

He has also consulted on a wide array of projects for clients as diverse as National Geographic, Frederick’s of Hollywood, Home Shopping Network, J.Crew and Lifung.com.

Kevin Rosenbloom

Kevin Rosenbloom is Senior Director of Merchandising for the Americas at USPA Properties Inc.. In his role, Kevin works directly with the group’s licensees on the planning and development of its various product lines throughout the Americas.

Kevin has more than 20 years of merchandising experience in the retail industry, working with internationally-recognized brands including Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s on merchandising, production, sourcing and planning.
