Ted works tirelessly to reduce the waste send to landfill, in all its office, stores and warehouse.

It makes sure that all the products they consume are legitimately & ethically used and worn out are either recycled or dispensed according to the best ethical standards... Within the UK, they have formed ‘Distributor Take Back Scheme’ along with other retailers helping the UK’s local councils with the provision of improved recycling facilities for you as part of their commitment to the UK and European WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

A crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is displayed that indicate not to dispose of the goods with household waste instead recycle them. Ted also believes in playing fair purporting to be transparent, honest in the way they do business and thus keep their carbon footprint as dainty as possible.

Environment:
Ted is a prestigious member of the Green 500 organization. In summer 2010 Ted became a proud Platinum award holder for the Green 500 Ethical Conduct. Also they have aligned with MADE-BY, an internationally accredited and recognized benchmarks agency, that evaluates Ted’s  garments a bit more closely, from the fibres that are used to the manufacturing of these products and closely monitor the working conditions of the people too.

Sustainability:
Ted Baker wares are built to last – they do not deal in disposable clothing. Their quality fabrics are sourced from highly regarded mills, and Ted’s classic styles can be worn for many seasons. Many of their garments are also made from sustainable fibres such as Organic Cotton and Tencel, and as part of their work with MADE-BY they are aiming to improve the quantities of these fibres within our collections over time.

Animal Welfare:
Ted Baker is committed to participating in ‘fair’ trade, and they expect all animal derived products that they sell to have come from animals that are treated to the highest standards of animal welfare and in accordance with animal welfare legislation. They strictly ascertain that their sources obey the OIE’s Animal Health Codes.

Endangered Species:
Ted Baker will never use anything from the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna) or IUCN (International Union for the conservation of Nature) lists in a product.

Charity:
Ted donates thousands of pounds to charity each year, but believes in modesty. By donating gifts, funds and getting involved with events, they have worked with a variety of groups.
